An Internal Location refers to a place your business manages where decedents, personal effects, equipment, or materials may be stored. When handling a delivery in the MorTrack mobile app, you can use the QR code associated with an internal location to mark that you are storing the decedent or asset in that location.
Users with the Admin or Manager roles can access and manage Internal Locations using the web app version of MorTrack.
All active internal locations will be listed on the Manage Internal Locations page.
Creating New Internal Locations
From the Manage Internal Locations page, click on the Add New Internal Location button.
Each internal location is made up of the following:
Location Name: Required. The name of the Internal Location. Each location must have a unique name.
Reference #: An optional space for any sort of reference number or miscellaneous info.
Capacity: Required. The number of decedents or assets that can be stored at the location at once. If a transferred decedent or asset would exceed this capacity, a warning will be displayed but MorTrack will still allow the transfer to complete successfully.
Alternative Code: Any text entered here creates an Alt Code that removal techs can use in the MorTrack mobile app in lieu of scanning the Internal Location QR code. This Alt Code could be the same as the Location Name, a shortened version of the name, an internal code name, or something entirely different.
Description: A field for a general description of the location.
Once you have entered at least a Location Name and Capacity, you can click on Save to save and create the location.
Managing and Disabling Internal Locations
To Edit an existing location, click on the Manage button, then click on Edit. Any part of an internal location can be edited, as long as its Location Name remains unique and it still has a Capacity.
Duplicate can be used to create another copy of an existing location, though the duplicate will have the word “copy” and a number added to its name. Use the Edit function to rename this copy as needed.
Disable can remove an internal location from your list of active locations. Once disabled, an internal location will be hidden and cannot be selected by any users. To view all disabled Locations, click on the Show Disabled Internal Locations toggle switch. Disabled locations will be highlighted in a darker gray.
Printing Internal Location Labels
Internal Location labels are printed with a unique QR code associated with the location. These QR codes can be scanned in the MorTrack mobile app to designate which internal location a decedent or asset is being sent to.
Each label has a unique QR code, the name of the location, and a scannable barcode.
To print a label for a single location, click on the Manage icon to the right of the location, then click on Print Label.
To print labels for every location at once, click on the Print All Labels button.
