If you have an existing Osiris account, you can connect it to your MorTrack account. This integration allows MorTrack to send case information and details directly to your Osiris account. There are several steps required to set up this connection.
MorTrack users with Admin or Manage access can configure integration settings from the MorTrack web application.
Note that cases created by the MorTrack connection will not have Case Numbers in Osiris. Users will have to visit Funeral Home Information in Osiris to enter the desired Case Number.
Step 1: Email MorTrack or Osiris Support for Integration Keys
The integration to Osiris requires two keys, which will be entered into MorTrack. These keys are what connect the two accounts and allow data to be transferred securely.
If you already have an Osiris account, you can obtain these keys by either:
- In Osiris, going to Tools > Options > Integrations > MorTrack. You must then enable the MorTrack integration, then click on Show API Key to obtain the Company Key and Web API Key.
- Emailing our support team at support@cairnstack.com and we will reach out to Osiris to obtain the integration keys.
Step 2: View Your Connection Settings in MorTrack
You can then manage your Osiris integration settings in MorTrack by going to Manage > Integrations. If you already reached out to our support team in Step 1, then under the Connections section your Osiris connection will already be in place.
Click on the ⋮ icon, then click on Edit.
The parts of the connection are as follows:
Connection Name: Can be named “Osiris”
Service: The connection to MorTrack. In this case, this selection will be Osiris.
Company Key and Web API Keys: Unique keys from Osiris to link it with MorTrack. Editing or deleting these keys will disconnect the two and stop the integration from functioning.
Lastly is the Multiple Matches option, which we will go into more detail next.
Step 3: Configuring for Multiple Matches
When MorTrack sends data to Osiris, it will first check if the decedent already has an entry in your Osiris database. It checks based on the decedent’s First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth.
In the event that there are 2 or more exact matches in Osiris (e.g. two individuals named John Doe with a birth date of 1/1/1960), the Multiple Matches setting determines what MorTrack and Osiris will do in that situation.
Push to the First Match: MorTrack will send case information to the first match in Osiris.
Create a New Case in Osiris: Osiris will create a brand new case with the information it receives.
Do Nothing with the Case: MorTrack will not do anything with the case.
Step 4: Setting Up Data Mapping
The Mapping settings allow you to control how the information in MorTrack connects to your Osiris account.
To configure these settings, click on the ⋮ icon, then Mapping.
The left column represents the data that can be sent to Osiris. The drop-down selectors from the right column allow you to choose where in Osiris the MorTrack data is sent.
The Osiris options available to select from are:
Cases:isPreneed - No current function when mapped.
Cases:timeOfDeath
Cases:gender
Cases:ssn
Cases:isVeteran
Cases:informantLastName - An Informant in Osiris is generally what we call Next of Kin in MorTrack
Cases:informantFirstName
Cases:informantPhone
Cases:informantEmail - Email must be in a valid format (e.g. support@cairnstack.com)
Cases:informant:Relationship
Cases:Notes - Adds text entered in Osiris as a case note.
After making all selections, click on Save to proceed. Note that the Mapped number for the Osiris Connection will increase based on the number of mapping choices made.
Step 5: Setting Up Connection Triggers
Triggers determine when MorTrack will send case data to Osiris. When setting up a trigger, you will choose a MorTrack case status. When a case in MorTrack reaches that status, that will activate the trigger, sending case information to Osiris.
For example, if I set a trigger for the status Created, MorTrack will send case information as soon as the case is created. If I then set another trigger for In Custody, MorTrack will send any new information once a removal tech receives the decedent.
Note that MorTrack will only send new information to Osiris. It will not override any previously sent data.
The options for triggers are:
Created - A new request is created
Reviewed - A Dispatch user has clicked on a newly created case
Assigned - A Dispatch user has assigned the request to one or more removal techs
Declined - A Removal Tech has declined the assigned case
Accepted - A Removal Tech has accepted the assigned case
En-Route - A Removal Tech has marked they are on their way for pick-up
On-Site - A Removal Tech has marked they are at the pick-up address
In Custody - A Removal Tech has the decedent in custody
In Transit - A Removal Tech is on the way to the delivery address
Arrived - A Removal Tech is at the delivery address
Internal - The decedent has been received to an Internal location
Delivered - The decedent has been delivered to the delivery address
Released - The decedent has been released to another party, next of kin, or other individual
Click on Save to save a new trigger. Note that the Triggers number for the Osiris Connection will increase based on the number of mapping choices made.
To disable an existing trigger, click on the ⋮ icon, then choose Disable Trigger.
After setting up the mapping and triggers, you are ready to begin having MorTrack case information sent to Osiris. In order to add and update a case in Osiris, the MorTrack case will require: First Name, Last Name, and Date of Death.
