After a request has been created, it can then be assigned to drivers, who will be notified of the case and can begin the process of picking up and delivering the decedent.
To assign requests, a user must have Dispatch access.
To access the Dispatch functions in the mobile app, follow these steps:
- While logged into the app, tap on the MorTrack leaf button in the lower-left corner.
- From the side menu, tap on Dispatch.
The Dispatch screen will list all open requests, and may also list any recently delivered or canceled cases, as well as any cases where a decedent/asset is at an Internal Location.
To view more information about a specific case, tap on its case card. This will load the expanded case information, and also allows you to view the map. The map features location pins for the pick-up and drop-off locations, as well as vehicle icons for any removal techs logged into the MorTrack mobile app.
Assigning Removal Techs:
To assign a case to one or more removal techs, follow these steps:
- From the Dispatch screen, tap on the card for the case you are assigning. The expanded case information will appear on screen.
- Tap on Assign Removal Tech.
- A list of removal techs will be pulled up. If a removal tech is logged into the mobile app and has checked out a vehicle, the vehicle information will be displayed, as well as several capacity boxes. The capacity boxes represent how much room their vehicle has available for executing more pick-ups.
- To assign a removal tech, tap on their card. The first tech will be assigned as the Primary on the case.
-
- (Optional) If a case will require several removal techs, you may assign as many as needed. Every additional removal tech will be assigned as an Assist.
- (Optional) If you need to change the Primary, you can tap on them once again, which will remove them from the case and make the next Assist tech the new Primary.
- After selecting all removal techs needed, tap on Assign & Alert. The removal techs will be notified of the request and the case status will change to Assigned.
